Calls can be traced with extreme accuracy IF you are the federal government. The public is not allowed access to the exact coordinates - just an estimate that may be as close as 10 feet. MAY BE, Unfortunately, while the military and, yes, Homeland Security can use the more accurate GPS, even local police and 911 call centers are restricted to the "general" site.
