I like how it was not mentioned in the videos that Turncoat Tubby cut a deal with Minnesota in February of 2007 to become their head coach, while he still actively coaching at Kentucky. Also not mentioned was the fact that Tubby won his lone title with Rick Pitino's players. Tubby never reached the Final Four with his own guys in his 10 years at Kentucky. He could not recruit, would not recruit, took on too many projects and essentially ran Kentucky into the ground, of which they have just now recovered (4 years after the spiral started on Tubby's watch) by hiring Calipari and inking the best recruiting class in the history of the game. There is a reason he was called Ten Loss Tubby at Kentucky; because 5 of his 10 seasons there resulted in 10 or more losses during the regular season. He is and always will be a middle of the road coach who fits in better and frankly belongs at a school like Minnesota, or Georgia or Tulsa. He can bring moderate success to Minnesota, some good seasons with 6 or 7 losses and the occasional Sweet Sixteen, but most of the time you'll see 9 or 10 loss seasons with a 1st round punch out. At Minnesota, that's OK though, because there aren't any expectations like there were at Kentucky. At Kentucky, a team with the chance of making the Final Four every year is a must. At Minnesota, NCAA appearances will suffice.
