McHale's Navy

I love the vaudville throw-back timing you see in great comedy shows like Mchale's navy. When I was young I liked the rebel spirit of mchale and his crew, but being saved in Jesus and being in my 50s I now appreciate the talents that God gave these wonderful actors. They worked very hard to produce the exact timing of the humor. Like
Gleason and Carney (honeymooners) these professionals create bam-swoosh-bang comedy timing that delights me. My favorite now is Joe Flynn (capt binghamton) He is just awesome. What a portrayal -"I could just scream,! I enjoy epic wwii naval/marine Pacific history, so the show hits me well there because they did a good job on the sets. Thank You Hulu making Macale's Navy available. What's the odds of getting Get Smart, Rat Patrol, Combat (vic Morral), and Seahunt. What about more old afternoon movie favorites like "Old man and the sea (Tracey), In Harms Way, Valdez is coming, Run silent, run deep, Operation Pacific and Mr. Roberts?? God Bless You All.

When I was growing up, McHales Navy was on in reruns, and I never really liked it. Years later, I know why! The Carol Burnett show was on at that time and I felt like "Why is Tim Conway so boring on THIS show, but so HILARIOUS in the Carol Burnett show?"
OK, I said it and I meant it, but going back to this show an age later, I now realize how great it is. It's very reminiscent of Sgt. Bilko, one of my all-time favorites, but in so many ways it's more polished, more well thought out, and more believable than Bilko. Oh, and watching it again, Tim Conway does some awesome stuff in this program, though not as quickly and shockingly as he did in The CB Show.
I'm always going to be a fan of the more surreal shows like Bilko, Green Acres, and Get a Life, but for a really popular show, McHale's Navy is one of the best!

This show is truly awesome. The script and characters are hilarious. I love this show. Thank you, Hulu!!
