...to rant about the absurd number of years it takes an anime to get from Japan to a legit streaming site vs. the HOURS it takes to get it on a fan-sub site.It's also not the place for a rape discussion. Is it an unspeakable thing to threaten? Obviously. That's why it's silly to speak about its significance in an anime that's silly even by its own standard.Gloriously. Hilariously. Silly.

For the record I find it ironic that there are hundreds of anime in which a single man is surrounded by half a dozen women and is beaten within an inch of his life in every episode but the moment you reverse the scenario people are crying "BULLY!!! RAPE!!". I'm not defending bullies or rapists in any regards but there are several titles already on Hulu that involve a man getting assaulted by women in every episode, (samuai harem, girls bravo, or Negima which is practically pedophilia) but the fact that a show where the tables causes such distress makes me angry. This show is merely taking the "harem anime" to its logical albeit extreme conclusion. Most good animes out there E.G. Code Geas and Death Note are games of cat and mouse and I believe that Maria Holic is no different.Japan is a land where topics like incest, pedophilia and object-sexuality make up 90% of their nightly programming. Frankly I support Hulu for having the balls to air Maria-Holic and if you don't like that or any of the aboved titles then that's your thing. If you can't see this anime and its ilk for what it really is; a satire of male otaku fetishism, then go listen to your priest tell you about how its OK to rape and kill the Benjaminites but its not OK for you to engage in consensual sodomy.

When the boy dressing as a girl threatens to rape the main character if she tells on him, I shut it off. That is not funny, it is not comedy. What a terrible anime.
