awesome that people care enough to be CIs, i know its rat like and not cool and all that stuff. I myself am not a fan of police, in fact im petrified that one will ruin my life simply because i like to smoke pot... but most of the guys the marshals are after are just rotten. thank god that there are people out there who recognize the need to get these guys off the streets even though they themselves are living the tough life. CIs wouldnt know where to find the target unless they themselves were in the midst of something on the fringe

I had a run in with them a few years ago. My brother had a warrant and they were in my town doing sweeps. So I am walking from my apartment (where my brother used to live long before all this) to the convenience store; all of a sudden a green van pulls up out of nowhere, a gigantic dude hops out, grabs me, and body checks me against the side of the van. I remember yelling "What the F***?" before the wind was completely knocked out of me.After grilling me about my brother's whereabouts, and realizing that I was not inclined to tell them anything, they apologized and let me go. I felt it was borderline illegal at best, as I was clearly not a threat to anyone. Still, they did apologize so sweetly, and did no lasting damage.It is a little upsetting to know that if someone was out to get me, they could very easily have thrown me in that van and been away before I had time to react. Kind of a reality check really.
