Lipstick Jungle

This was truly a great show and it displayed so many of the daily issues that I have to face as a young and very, very inexperienced professional woman... I felt it was almost educational to watch it. The themes were great, the acting was great, but with just the right amount of feminine bits to it.... I guess the boys club at NBC decided it was too dangerous to promote career women... must stick to "reality shows" with airhead bimboes. When is the world going to wake up and smell the coffee - women today have purchasing and voting power, why not cater to us? Just a touch over half of the population is female and like it or not, IQ, skill and ambition are not Y-chromosome linked traits! Like I have not done for any other show, I actually went onto the NBC website and subscribed to whatever feedback service they had just so I can send in my support for the show.

Of all the idiotic moronic things NBC could have done, they go and cancel great shows like this. Are they that scared that women and girls out there will be empowered and see that they CAN have it all despite what men say otherwise?? Did they take into account how many ppl may have TiVo-ed this or watched it online? It's a pity that the show didn't get picked up by another network...now we are once again stuck with shows that frankly aren't worth my time.

So NBC canceled this show- it was said they had plans to move it to lifetime, or usa, or tnt, or one of those other channels but I doubt they do. This was a great show! It was an intelligent show for modern women, and my god we deserve at least one!NBC also canceled Kings which was a brilliant and interesting show, and I don't know about their first run tv ratings, I know it was doing well online.NBC also canceled Life, the only intelligent detective show with a twist.So what's NBC left with: Hereos, and the Law & Orders... a Greys Anatomy/ER type new show, Mercy, and a much of "comedies" that are plagued with stupid potty humor and are just completely asinine.

I just read all the previous posts saying the shows been cancelled?! I love this show!!! I really, really hope some other network will pick it up. It's a great show that got like no promotion, a lot of people haven't even heard of it... What a shame!!

How on God's green earth could they think about putting and end to this show??? I am so sad that I have reached the last one episode on Hulu...I need a lipstick jungle fix. What can we do about getting this show back on the air?

Just when we feel a sisterhood connection to the women of such shows as LIPSTICK JUNGLE and CASHMERE MAFIA .... the decision makers of network television pull the plug on us!Is it perhaps that these strong empowered women represent a threat to the egos of their testosterone counterparts in the professional business world? Come on... unless it carries a football, dribbles a basketball, slaps a hockey puck, wears boxing gloves, spits on their batting gloves, or downs a beer while delivering crude sarcasm in one liners, the viewer ratings of such shows will always be secondary to the airwaves for women's choices of viewing.Yet year after year we are subjected to mindless reality television entertainment of such things as stars who find themselves unable to cope screaming "GET ME OUT OF HERE" Need I say more?????If the decision makers of NBC were to slide women's shows into a popular slot there would either be less men couch potatoes to pick up after and less primal grunts when a judgment call is made against their heros... or the ratings might actually reflect that women want to see more shows of substance and believable story lines as are reflected in the struggles of the professional woman trying to make it in the business world and being successful. They give up many things on a larger scale to be there than those of the opposite sex do.So, with all that being said... If I were one of the decision makers at NBC, I'd be sending out emails on pink stationery stating "YOU'RE FIRED!" and wish them well in the unemployment line!
