Description

This fast-paced action-adventure series follows symbologist Ashley Cowie as he travels the world in search of some of history's greatest and most mysterious artifacts. From King Arthur's famous sword to the Lost Ark of the Covenant, all of the elusive items are believed to hold hidden powers and mystical significance for ancient and modern cultures. Each of the six episodes will include Indiana Jones-type adventure and Da Vinci Code-style puzzle solving as the secreted truths and alternative theories of these mythical relics are explored. Cowie and his team leave no stone unturned as they hack through dense jungles, squeeze through tiny caves and trek through forbidding deserts to find their next clue. Their expeditions will reveal secrets that have been guarded for centuries and are still being protected today.

My husband and I can't stand Kinga. The show would be much better if they edit her out. She needs to learn how to speak intellectually and loose those childish hair clips. Her presence is distracting during these quests and we're convinced she must be sleeping with Ashley.

Monster Quest on History Channel. They only thing they actually found were Giant Fish, and Squid. What was fun was matching some morons try to prove UFOs exist and they had no idea what they were even looking at. (unless I am thinking of a different show). But they did come pretty close to proving the existence of a couple unknown primates. I think since other shows have identified in their wake. What is annoying is watching these guys go in and have only hours to research the area and get out. How can you possibly find anything if you have to rush in and rush out. See 1 other reply

I think Kinga goes along cause she wants to. Pretty sure Kinga isn't sleeping with the editor cause I think they mentioned she's the shows producer in one of the episodes. How do you know that this isn't how they normally dress just cause it's their style?

Anyone notice that the historical backgrounds he gives at the beginning of the show are always the plot of a famous movie and not the actual mythology? Like the Excaliber one he did the storyline of the 80's movie Excaliber. I think this show is really a way to launder drug money or something, no one can really be this stupid inept.

I think this show is what happened after a producer approached someone to bankroll their vacations and they called it infotainment.
I can only assume that Kinga is sleeping with the editor. I don't even know why she's there, and why there are so many lingering shots of this woman, as though the camera man is in love with her. Her hairstyle is annoying. Her clothing style is contrived humility. Stop attempting the Indiana Jones style. We know the wardrobe lady shops at Eddie Bauer. This guy who is the presenter is no Ollie Steeds.
I guess I'm giving this show 2-stars because it has pretty good music to keep on in the other room while you go make dinner.

I'm all for the suspension of disbelief, and enjoying entertainment for what ti is. Seriously, I've probably watched every episode of Elvira's Movie Macabre more than once, with the lights off, nibbling popcorn, and giggling like I did when I was nine years old.

I may have a problem...

However, for me this was unwatchable. I kept hoping that Ashley Cowie would drown, or be eaten by lizards or fall in a ditch, be mauled by a caribou, or something... anything. If you are made of stronger stuff than me and can totally take this to the mystery science theater place or the drinking game place, good work. You are a credit to your craft! I however just can't do it.
