I am so glad I stumbled across this movie. Everything about it was beautiful. It had a raw element to it that I loved.

The film maker is obviously inspired by Tim Burton. Like Burton's films, this one is visually pleasing with beautifully artistic shots. The cinematography is amazing, and the set design is very Burtonesque. You could almost confuse it with one of his own. That is... if it were not for the complete lack of imagination. Take away the photography, the lighting, set design, and the decent acting and you will find a script a high schooler could easily fumble their way through. You could see each scene coming from a mile away. Except for when the filmmaker would take you off somewhere that made absolutely no sense to the film at hand.
I may be going out on a limb here, but this could be a complete rip-off of a specific Burton film. That is without an ounce of imagination.
FYI... Not a Burton fan, but I do respect his work.

I wish I could find a child actors like this for me own films. Absolutely amazing and Mischa was so great back then! Still is, but you know what I mean ... wow! Fantastic. Sam was also great .. everyone ... just really clean character work. I'm so happy with this film! LOL

I would love to see more like it. Worth every minute. There arent many movies i remember, but i beleive this is going to be one. As previous reviewers have pointed out, this is not your usual hackneyed, lets tie up all the loose ends, blow something up and end with a chase scene movie. This is one of a kind and again worth every minute.
