Kojak 2004

This was a very good show. The writing was excellent and the last two episodes was unique involving the wife of a major character. I wish the tilte would have been different because it will always be compared to the original. Great cast and mood of the show. I wilsh it would come back. But it is not the first good show to leave early nor the Last. Who Loves you BABY!!!!. WE DO......

I can't believe the network canceled this show so quickly.!!! They didn't even give it a chance. The cast was exellent and Lord knows Ving Rhames, with his sexy self, did an excellent portral Det Kojak. Good shows like this don't see to stand a chance in our society while trash like gossip girls and family guy and anything belittling others sores on the charts. What is this world coming to? I'm considering giving up TV. I've ordered a reader and plan to dedicated 2011 to reading more because the trash they leave on TV isn't worth the price of cable.

At first , being a huge fan of the original Kojak,i didn't think i was going to like a "remake"after all there can only be one Kojak right?But i decided to at least watch the pilot and liked it enough to watch episode 2 and am now hooked,"zapa dapa doo and like that ya know?"

Lieutenant Theo Kojak the character is based loosely on NYPD police detective Thomas Cavanaugh, Jr. Cavanaugh was remembered both for his eloquence in obtaining confessions from even hardened Mafia criminals, and for his well-mannered demeanor. He didn't smoke (lost in the series with Telly Savalas but regained here - - good job!) or curse.Cavanaugh came to the attention of the media for investigations involving the rape and kilings of professional women blamed on the wrong man, which we can now attribute to racism on the part of the criminal justice system at the time. I'm sorry to see the series cancelled.I rate this 5 stars!

Man, I am so glad to find this show on Hulu. I really enjoyed Ving Rhames as the updated character and just like a few mentioned below, I hated that it got canceled so quickly but glad I can at least see the couple episodes I missed.

One of many shows canceled to early due to poor ratings.
The pilot was a little shaky but show got better as the progressed.
A re-launch wouldn't be a terrible idea.
