I really hope that they bring this show back on air. It was simply great! The actors, the writing, the sets...it was all fabulous and movie quality. I guess all the executives think we want mindless reality shows--NO!

I cannot allow ABC to disappoint me another time. I really liked Kings, and Eastwick was a good show too. I was going to watch the new "V" show, but I have decided that there is no point in getting into an ABC show because they'll just cancel it if it's good and run it for years when it sucks. Go figure.

I love this show and the actors were really good. The actor who played Silas is hot, yeah he could get it!! Be my suga daddy, lol. But anyway I just found out that the show was cancelled, that's some BS!!! Oh well, every time I really get into a show they shut it down. I guess Eastwick is next. What happen to the 4400 too? Dang, but BS like How I met Your Mother stays on the air. Just BS!!!!!! Come back Kings!!!!!

Wow, what a series! They say never judge a book by it's cover, and this show is truly an example of a really good show with a poor title. I say this by experience, when I first was introduced to this show by my wife, my first impression was; Kings? Whats the big deal?
Well, after the first and second episode, I was truly hooked. I'm hearing rumors that the show is being cancelled? It better not be. It will be truly a waste of quality television if it gets cancelled. Keep kings on the air. PS: I suggest the show should be call: Kingdom Battles! |

Kings is really entirely unlike any show I've seen before, and I love it.
The acting is excellent, the plot is unpredictable (I purposefully didn't compare it to the story of David in case of spoilers heh), and the setting especially is truly amazing. Overall I find it easy to suspend disbelief and get wrapped up in the characters and their lives. Although I am a Christian, I don't this show offensive or stiflingly Christian in presentation. I think anyone would enjoy the interesting "what if?" of a ruler who really did speak to a higher power and get an answer back in modern times. It is really a shame that this show has apparently been canceled. Easily one of the best shows on TV, certainly one of the only truly original shows to air since Heroes debuted. Bring this show back!

As I reviewed the NBC website there was an indication that the next season of this show will begin in March of 2010. I'm not entirely sure of the validity of that, however I would highly support and view religiously.
I started this series off of some AVI's that my brother got to me. I ended up on Hulu to watch the rest, so I didn't read that this story was based upon biblical pretext of the David/Saul conflict in the bible. However, I got it early on and was quite impressed with the take, with the actors, with the attention to detail and just about everything this show has got going for it. The writers should be commended and given their own channel to bring forth such high quality and interesting entertainment! I can't get the timbre of Silas' voice out of my head! And all the actors, British (Silas & Samuel), Australian (David), Romanian (Jonathan) and others are just absolutely mind-blowing in their performance! If you have not yet seen this series, grab a huge bucket of popcorn, your favorite beverage, toss the kids at the grandparents, put on the fireplace, and expect to be wowed with the quality of this work. It is of "Masterpiece Theater" that I think when I see this. Someone earlier said "HBO quality on NBC" and I whole-heartedly concur!

I was always too busy to catch this show when it was on but I caught up with it on Hulu and I really dug it. So well done. It was HBO quality on NBC and it's a shame it couldn't find an audience. If you had an interest in it but weren't sure - just push play and watch it. It's cool and you'll enjoy it.
