Are you serious? I was a fan too, but come on... it was about as profound as the National Enquirer!! The only definite statement this show made was a snap shot of life in Central FL. as a middle-class, average family with everyday ups and downs. The show was entertaining when Kim's whiny attitude was still fresh, and Kath and Phil's relationship was still sweet. This premise really had no where to go... unless one of them predictably won the lottery. I have to say- I'm glad they pulled it before it embarrassed the whole cast and cast a black spot on Shannon and Blair. See 2 other replies

I thought this show was excellent if you actually paid attention to what was going on. Just like AD, it was way too clever for the average person sit down for the first time, jump right in and fall in love. It's sad that it was canceled, but like other people have stated, its an American remake...the original still exists. And normally, the original shows are exponentially better than the remakes. This show is canceled!!!

I think Hulu is in the right place for canceled shows! This is where I found Arrested Development...which was canceled before I ever watched it.

At least you can watch this show on HULU.

ps. didn't mean to sound excited about the cancellation but I was surprised it was still on the air.

I have never posted a review, but I am stepping out on a limb to say that this show is wonderful! I love the craziness of the characters. I was just about to give up on tv comedy....Please bring it back!

They have shown the Aussie version here in the good ole USA. Its been on the Sundance Channel AND it is available on DVD ... check out Amazon.com.
As Bob T. said, the original series is VERY Australian and US audiences would not get a lot of the references or jokes. But having said that, I think if you watch the 4 series that they've done so far, you'd find that its one of funniest comedy series. Jane Turner (Kath) and Gina Riley (Kim) are so different from their American counterparts and the rest of the cast create as good an ensemble as you'd find in all the great comedy sitcoms. I really was into this show and I think it had some good comical relief for a close second to The Office. Molly Shannon is a genius I just love her! I think Kim maybe was getting on people's nerves how she was so whiny, but at least she finally got back together with Craig. I was so hoping to see Kath and Phil get married before the show ended it was just all a sudden and I'm very sad. I think all the Kath and Kim show lovers should request NBC to get the show back on the air, this could be just like Family Guy, people demanded that they make new episodes even though it had been off the air. They have new stupid shows like Parks and Recreations on the air now! A waste of 30 mins space.
