It had a good premise, but this show was pretty laughable.
Watching it now, there are some attributes that make it unfavorable to watch. It probably lost some credibility with the audience. (Of course when watching it at the time, I thought it was awesome; then again, I was a pre teen and didn't know good television from bad.)
Some of these things include:
-Unprofessionalism of the members of the police force.
-Over acting, or not enough on some people's parts.
-Focused too heavily on cop drama, and not enough on underlying plot.
-lack of chemistry between characters
-Karen is very .... Of-putting and a bit of a drag. Not to mention superficial.
While Friday nights were a significant factor, I doubt it would have really taken off and produced a season 2.
