Responsibilities:
- Contribute to design of the architecture and the development of the products and services for our new digital media solution.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications and services.
- Invent novel solutions to challenging problems.
- Establish engineering best practices such as code reviews, design guidelines, and check-in policies.
- Improve performance, scalability, and availability of our internal systems.
- Create tools and processes to increase the productivity of all your co-workers.
- Diagnose and debug issues in a production environment.
- Interact with a large user base to create the best possible media experience.
- Collaborate with researchers, program managers, and product designers in an open, creative environment.
Qualifications:
- Expertise with Java/C#/C/C++ or other related programming languages.
- Knowledge of Python, Ruby, and/or LAMP stack highly desirable.
- Experience building data-driven services and applications.
- Experience building web-based applications is a plus.
- Independent programming experience outside of work and school is a plus.
- Independent, energetic, highly technical, and capable of driving for results under pressure and ambiguity.
Education: BS/MS in Computer Science

Test Architect

Responsibilities
- Lead the quality assurance effort for all Hulu products.
- Design and develop both unit testing and scenario testing frameworks.
- Author and guide the implementation of tests case plans.
- Establish and evangelize engineering best practices such as test automation, build verification, and deployment strategies.
- Improve the overall productivity of the company by identifying tools and processes to increase efficiency.
- Contribute to the overall vision and direction of the business.
- Diagnose and debug issues in a production environment.
- Collaborate with researchers, program managers, product designers, and vendors in an open, creative environment.
Qualifications
- 4-7 years of software testing experience.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated coding skills in Java/C#/C/C++ or other related programming languages.
- Deep understanding of test architecture, design, and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with databases and database programming is a plus.
- Knowledge of Ruby on Rails, Linux and open source technologies is highly desirable.
- Independent, energetic, highly technical, and capable of driving for results under pressure and ambiguity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education: BS/MS in Computer Science
