Jing King of Bandits: Seventh Heaven

This is more or less a kid fighting a magician and the warden. The magician has the ability to put you to sleep potentially keeping you trapped in dream. Jin and his friends lead you through the dreams of many in their quest to find the way out of the dream world. Its actually quite fascinating. I would definitely say that this is not intended for children younger than middle school, primarily due to violence and offensive gestures by authority figures in the film. Eh, most people let their kindergarteners play zombie games, so you may not have an issue with the series. It totals to under an hour and a half, so I would watch it first before letting my children watch it.

These are only the OVA of this anime the regular TV series was about 11-13 eps i forgot. You can understand it easier if you have watched the TV series then the OVA. I personally loved the series made many folk tale allusions in the story. Also yea not for kids, it would be a bit to hard to understand, but if you have at least some intelligence you should be able to pick up some of the subtle references this show tries to make.

In a word, bizarre.Apparently, the characters are in a world constructed of people's dreams, so it supposed to be a bit surreal. But I found it incredibly hard to follow what was happening. That said, the environments and artwork are very interesting to look at, and it's never boring. Most of the time you'll be asking yourself "What the?"I think the reviewer that called it "stereotypical" is unclear on the meaning of the word. This is not stereotypical of anything - it is in fact very strange, and probably unique. Enjoyable? Well, I think that will be very different for different people. Personally I don't think I would watch more than 3 episodes.

This anime is just not for children, not because of the harshness of the content, but because of its deep symbolism and oddness of form. For example: The first episode is like watching "The Wall" from Pink Floyd in the sense that its almost unintelligible. No child is going to get it.
The first story -initially- has words scrawled across the screen signifying sound, like the old "Batman and Robin" TV series. Those fade pretty quick, thankfully. Still I don't know if I want to watch rest of the episodes. The first one was just too .... insane and reading the titles that are available, all three episodes are illusion worlds.

Never even made it through the first episode. It was just bad, actually seeing a visual WAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH across the screen every time there was a siren or some other loud noise was annoying. A previous reviewer states it isn't for kids, well it sure isn't for anyone mature. Imo it is just choppy, overly stereotypical, garbage, i.e. most of the plot for the first episode just seems to be randomly strung together, the characters act like Disney characters only more extreme, and in all I felt stupider for watching the part I did.

Sounds like a series about adult drinks, but no. These are some of the names of the characters in this mini-series.Some of the content is silly, but it is by no means meant for kids.Very well drawn, and the environments look they were done by Dali.See all three in one sitting.
