Ja Myung Go

Ja myung go has it's moments but missed out on the "wow" factor that historical dramas tend to have. Despite all that, the large amount of admirable and hateful women on the show kept me well entertained. The first episode didn't draw me in entirely because it started on a cliche. Showing parts of the ending at the beginning just killed the mystery because we knew where it all would eventually end up. If the actors weren't so good the story would have been quite boring. I must say, the children actors are the best. Young Hodong is so darn cynical it's cute and Lahee plays an amazing brat. In the first ten episodes they really lay the drama on THICK. One bad thing happens after another and it happened so consistently that I felt they were trying just a little TOO hard to make the audience feel sorry and/or hate certain individuals. Eventually the wrinkles smooth out and the story becomes easier to follow (and predict) as time passes.I give this drama a 7 based on the strength of the acting and originality in the script. It's nowhere near the "epicness" of Queen Seon Deok or Chuno, but it will keep you entertained for 39 hours.

First off, why do they always let the 2nd Queen get away with all the horrible things she has done?! And the Ist Queen needs a backbone, she's weak! Second, Prince Hodong is so scrawny with bad posture. When he took off his robe, I was like, wth! Lol! I think General Wang Hol should play his role. He's more of a Prince.Third, Princess Lahee, I can't help but to just look at her shiny nose. Is it a nose job? Princess Jamyung was a little plain looking, but I end up really liking her because of her acting. And Lastly, the ending... you'll see! You would think with her predictions... Don't want to spoil it.
