I watched 'It Takes A Thief' as a 6- or 7-year old and hadn't seen the show in 40 years, so I'm having a great time reviewing all the episodes. Season 2, episode 5, (Get Me To The Revolution On Time) features an unusual six-keyed safe with keys held by six people and Al breaks into a room using an umbrella to catch debris. It reminded me of last season's 'Prison Break' which also focuses on the challenges cracking a multi-keyed safe and in which Michael and gang break into the room using none other than an umbrella to catch debris. It's probably just a coincidence, but I still found it interesting. It's also interesting to compare the level of violence between the two shows. Forty years ago a karate chop to the shoulder blade caused total incapacitation; nowadays characters' limbs' are chopped off, but like the Energizer Bunny, they keep going.   See 1 other reply
