Iron Man: Extremis

I read the Extremis run when it first came out, and I was impressed with Warren Ellis' take on the character and the deus-ex-machina Extremis project. Ellis is a brilliant writer... which makes this motion comic all the more sad, because it is so agonizingly slow-paced that you are ready to shoot yourself in the head with a repulsor ray before you are halfway through the first episode. The art is adequate at best, and the Ken Burns-esque pan-and-scans are boring in the extreme. Another reviewer made quite a stink about how "liberal" this was, which is not only substantially inaccurate but detracts from the real point, which is that this is a pretty bad attempt at cashing in on Iron Man. This was originally sold on the iTunes store as an exclusive, so maybe padding out each episode to 20+ minutes makes sense when trying to fleece the buying public, but it only serves to drag the whole story pace down to a snail's crawl.

This is the most super liberal tripe I've watched. I gave it a chance, even though the early part showed the true colors. The end just reinforced it. The fight sequences were OK, but the art wasn't even comic book quality. It's not worth the time to watch it for real Iron Man fans. Conservatives aren't all racists and thieves, as the writers of this seemed to think, just as Liberal politicians and pacifists aren't the saviors of the world. It disgusts me to think about how deluded the people who put this together are.
