Description

Hong Gil Dong (played by actor Kang Ji Hwan of Coffee House) is a martial arts prodigy with a chip on his shoulder. As the illegitimate son of a high ranking government official, he was cast out from a life of nobility. A local monk took him under his wing and trained Gil Dong in martial arts - which Gil Dong first used to bully his townspeople, to using his skills to serve the poor and needy. He "wins" his wife Yi Nok in a street fight, and together they take on the injustices that divide the people into haves and have-nots in this modern day folktale. Also starring Sung Yu Ri and Jang Geun Suk.

Seems you are one of those who comment about what you watch. Hopefully you look at the comments of others as well. In this case, you probably would have benefitted from reading some of the other comments that came before yours... The beginning of episode 1 is not like the rest of the series. A lot of the flash and modern items (as you pointed out...the dancing as one) disappear by episode three.

I just finished Episode 7 only to find out that there are no Episodes 8 thru 10 on Hulu......come on you guys get it together! ?Why and how did you post Episodes 11 and 12, but no 8 thru 10

Although I'm only on Episode 6, I am thoroughly enjoying this "over the top" historical-type drama. I am a big fan of both Kang Ji Hwan (Lie To Me) and Jang Geun Suk (Beethoven Virus, You're Beautiful, Marry Me Mary). It's also nice to see Sung Yu Ri in something other than when she is sick, dying, or being abused (Snow Queen, One Fine Day) . I love her characterization here and others as well. Love the mixture of present day dance and songs within this historical-type context. Very entertaining. Looking forward to the remaining episodes!

Had to finish this program on dramafever.com and finished the entire story. This was great, funny/ sad, it held my interst for all 24 eps.
