This is actually a pretty cool show, but I swear if the main dude calls one more thing "iconic"... It's not that some of the stuff isn't, but he uses that word like it's going out of style. The knock-off Gizmo from Gremlins 2 (Daffy)...that isn't iconic. Nothing about Gremlins 2 is iconic, but definitely not a random, non-Gizmo Mogwai.

I swear you could show him the stand-in for Harrison Ford's shoelace from Witness and he would coo about hos iconic it is.

Yes I agree with what you posted but you are missing the crux of what I said. The producers of movies and TV shows rarely value the props as anything special, in turn they are thrown out and/or destroyed which is why they are rare in the first place. So for the guy to be so doubtful that Disney would just give away a prop... well that is preposterous

Hundreds if not thousands of movies and TV shows are made every year, and only a handful are ever remembered, let alone become iconic legends.

Props from old iconic films are actually very rare and hold a huge amount of sentimental value for fans, film makers and collectors.

If they weren't so rare, people wouldn't buy them for so much money.
Supply and demand...

I love this show, cant wait to see more.

The guy acts so surprised that Disney "let" such an iconic prop from Mary Poppins go but being in the career that he is in he should know full well that studios really don't care that much about the props. Especially then and even today, I mean hell just look at all the props that were rusting in the California sun in that junkyard.
