I have some suggestions for this category of "Historic Campaign Ads" videos:It would be a nice addition to add more campaign ads from the American presidential candidates as they were seeking (during the presidential primaries' seasons), even if they never won, their parties' nominations for president.. You have some of those ads already, as with the Carroll O'Connor spot endorsing Ted Kennedy in 1980.But here are some more suggestions for presidential candidates' primaries ads--Hubert Humphrey in 1960 and 1972, Nelson Rockefeller, Bobby Kennedy, and Eugene McCarthy in 1968, Edmund Muskie in 1972, Fred Harris, Henry "Scoop" Jackson, Ronald Reagan, and Morris Udall in 1976, George Bush and Jerry Brown in 1980, Gary Hart in 1984, Paul Simon and five of the other "Seven (Democrat) Dwarves" (besides Dukakis) in 1988, Pat Buchanan in 1992, etcIt would also be more inclusive to present some ads of third party and independent presidential candidates in their fall election campaigns--George Wallace in 1968, Eugene McCarthy in 1976, Ross Perot in 1992, Ralph Nader in 2000, etc. Also, there are some glaring omissions of campaign ads of the major party candidates in the general election campaigns--Adlai Stevenson in 1952/56, John Kennedy in 1960, Hubert Humphrey in 1968, among them. These "Historc Campaign Ads" are a great addition to Hulu's News and Public Affairs category, one that may only continue to grow and become an even more definitive, educational, and entertaining archives of American political and presidential history.
