I'll have to challenge you there Steve, downloading torrents may be traceable, but so many people are constantly downloading things it would be impossible to keep tabs on all, if not most of them. And your ISP wants your service so if your unlucky enough to get anything sent to you in the mail, it'll be a letter kindly asking you to stop. After that..probably just another letter. I have a friend who has accumulated 8 already and has yet to get fined. In my experience, the more serious repercussions come from not Downloading, but Uploading. So thanks to anyone and everyone who has been our knights in shining armor and have taken the risk to do so. I owe you anywhere near 4,000$ -_-

Torrents are always traceable--right to your door. Get the IP, contact the ISP, and get a lovely little fine.

I have no desire for Hulu to begin tracking me as a person. Tracking my profile and viewing habits as a user on their site is one thing, but keeping track of my demographic information, location, and other non-user related information is unacceptable.
I use torrents because they aren't traced. I use Hulu because it supports authors. If you don't like the advertisements, use another medium to watch your content.

Honestly, who cares? If you're so lazy and anal that muting your computer during a commercial bugs you then maybe you should find something else to watch. Just be happy that YOU don't have to pay. If the advertising agencies want to post their ads on this show even though no ones gonna buy their product, let them. At least they have a vision. These commercials are only what, 30 seconds to a minute long? It's not taking a lot of time out of your life. You should also learn how to spell. Why make a rant if no one can even read it? That's all.

not only is hulu makeing money off your viewing, they never take into account who the viewer is with their advertisements. i honestly as a male 26 year old have no intrest in buying makeup, nor do i care about women's hair products. i will never perchase these thigns for my self, and wouldnt alter some one elses products because i saw an advertisment for XXX product. that said if a show's demographic does not shop for XXXX product then XXXX product shouldnt be advertised during that show. network and cable tv have understood this for years online television needs to wake up and get a clue that their advertiseing dollars are wasted on consumers that rounghly 50% of the time wont ever buy their product advertisement or not.i say this simply beacuse 1 advertisements that arnt ment for me make me change channels when watchign tv and advertisments that arnt ment for me make me mute my pc when i watch shows on hulu.you know your shows demagraphic hulu, they are all shows that were on tv, the stations who broadcast them knew the demographic and could tell you when they sell you the rights, simply put when people sign up for hulu take their age/gender/and location into consideration when advertiseing to them else wise you will find people unwilling to pay you for their advertisements to run on your site.

Really? If it was free I wouldn't have to waste my valuable time sitting through their advertisements.It's not free at all. Those advertisers pay good money to get a spot on there, and last I checked there isn't an option to turn the advertisements off.Hulu gets their money. Not having all the eps. of a series is plainly ridiculous.
