While browsing through Hulu Latino, you may have noticed a change in availability to some shows on Univision content. As of February 24, 2014, access to shows from this network changes as follows:
Below are some questions you may have regarding the change:
Univision has chosen to limit access to episodes of current season shows to viewers of Hulu.com and has extended authentication into all of its on-demand offerings including UVideos and content on Hulu Latino.
Users of the free service will still receive access to full seasons up to 90 days after the series finale. Though availability of the content has changed to run 8 days after it airs, we are now able to provide more episodes for free on Hulu.com than ever before.
Paying subscribers will now be able to watch episodes the day after they air on Univision in addition to all previous episodes. All previous episodes will continue to be available on Hulu Plus.
At the moment, we are not offering Univision content authenticated through a pay-TV service. As the industry evolves, we expect content owners and pay-TV providers will continue experimenting as it relates to the availability of content on free ad-supported services like Hulu.
