Below are answers to some common questions about Hulu subscriptions being billed through iTunes. This only applies to accounts created directly on the Apple TV or by using iTunes billing credentials in the iOS Hulu app.
If you created your Hulu subscription on your Apple TV, you will need to complete your account setup before you can log in on Hulu.com or any other supported devices. To do this, simply click the registration link in the Welcome Email we sent when you originally signed up. If you accidentally deleted this email, just head to our Forgot Password page and enter your email address to have it resent. Once you have completed your account setup, you can log in using your email address and password on any of our supported devices.
To check and see if your Hulu subscription is being billed through iTunes, head over to your Account page (and sign in, if prompted). If we are billing your iTunes Account for your monthly subscription, under the Your Subscription section, you will see "Your Hulu Subscription is billed through iTunes".
You can update your billing information within the iTunes Store. First, verify that you are being billed through iTunes. Then, make any changes to your billing information by heading to iTunes on your computer, iPad, iPhone or iPod touch:
You can easily cancel your Hulu subscription on either Hulu.com or through the iTunes Store. To do so on Hulu.com, go to your Account page (and sign in, if promoted). Under the Your Subscription section, click the Cancel Subscription button and follow the prompts to confirm. When completed, you will receive an email confirming the cancellation. Alternatively, to cancel your Hulu subscription using iTunes:
You can easily restart your Hulu subscription on either Hulu.com or through the iTunes Store. To do so on Hulu.com, go to your Account page (and sign in, if prompted). Under the Your Subscription section, click the Renew Your Subscription button and follow the prompts to enter your billing information. Alternatively, to restart your Hulu subscription using iTunes:
At this time, we are unable to offer billing Holds for subscriptions charged through iTunes. If needed, you can cancel your current Hulu subscription and restart your service at any time. Please keep in mind that if you cancel today, you will have access for the remainder of your current billing cycle, and a refund will not issued.
At this time, Hulu gift cards cannot be redeemed on accounts billed through iTunes. If you would like to redeem a Hulu gift card, you will need to cancel your current Hulu subscription and then sign up directly on Hulu.com following the instructions that came with the gift card. Please keep in mind that if you cancel your Hulu subscription today, we will be unable to credit your account for the remainder of the month.
Absolutely, however accounts billed through iTunes are not able to receive any promotional credits for friend referrals. If you have a lot of friends you'd like to refer, and would like to get credit for them signing up for a Hulu subscription, you will need to cancel your current iTunes billed Hulu subscription and sign up directly on Hulu.com. Please keep in mind that if you cancel your Hulu subscription today, we will be unable to credit your account for the remainder of the current billing period.
