Almost all these kids were white and from affluent families. So, from that I take it that they had this learned sense of entitlement. They were just plain spoiled rotten.They felt they were entitled to their partys! Therefore, when the schools cracked down and enforced rules against drinking and misconduct, they rioted! "How dare they try to take away my freedoms?" Nobody ever taught them that freedom comes with consequences!It's the same thing with the hate radio/TV jocks - you refer to someone as a "murderer" (or other dehumanizing terms) enough, then someone goes out and kills that guy (yes, you know the case I'm talking about), you just enabled that murder. You can scream about being entitled to your 1st amendment freedoms all you want, but all you're really doing is denying that you are responsible enough to deserve those freedoms. That's what happens to a society that demands freedom but forgets how to teach that freedoms, when practiced unwisely, have consequences.
