I'm old enough to have seen the original production but, unfortunately, I didn't. However, I intend to make up for that loss by watching it again at least once a week. The music is melodic and the dancing, acting and everything was beautiful. My heart is still thumping away. I LOVED IT.

As a person who was a teenager during the sixties I can say as a witness that the hippies where much like the ones in this movie. I really liked the memories this movie brought back to me. The classes of people where spot on, the uptight establishment types against the let it all hang out hippies. This was real people, I lived it, except when I was shipped overseas I was in the navy. The mass physicals at the induction centers is real, but also they had mass physicals at the time you are discharged. Good movie.

The soundtrack binds the movie together in a nostalgic 60s type of reality. A must see for 60s buffs and those who love hippies.

This movie is pretty cool,but the hippies are portrayed as immature, ignoramouses and I think they were trying to do the opposite. I.D.K. ???

Decent film adaptation of the broadway play. Claude is totally different in the movie than in the play. BUT, that is not a complaint. Movie is great on it's own merits, and I would agree that current events make it relevent again.

If hippies or musicals bug you, definitely watch this one!! >;-)

It was all downhill after the first song. Just skip to the parts where Bev D. gets topless. Those are the high points. Two starts for Bev D.'s high points.
