Sung Chan is the adopted son of the owner of Un Ahn Jung, the best traditional Korean food restaurant in Korea. During the food contest for successor, he runs away. He earns a living by selling various food items, such as pickled vegetables, from his truck to neighborhood ladies. He meets a lot of people and tackles their various issues using compassion through food. Along the way, he learns more about the traditions and heart behind Korean food, and also, takes part in a lot of Korean food competitions.
This show's a bit predictable, but it still kept my attention for the most part. The bits of romance that are present are adorable and wholesome, not at all melodramatic, angst-y, or "steamy," which potential viewers may or may not be partial to. The focus of this show is traditional Korean food and the conflict that arises between the desire to keep traditions and the desire to globalize, which is embodied by the two brothers Sung Chan and Bong Joo. It's a pretty family-friendly show.
