Description

The appeal of the unknown is undeniable and freshman Mai Taniyama is hooked. This fact, coupled with her burgeoning psychic powers, leads Mai to join the ranks of the Shibuya Psychic Research team. I got the first book for the manga when I was in high school as a birthday present. I didn't think I would much like it, as a completely supernatural with no fantasy take isn't usually what I'm into. Also, the art put my off a tad...but I have to say, it turned into my favorite manga. The show is great too! It's one of those shows where you won't catch me saying "the book was better". I love that it's full of action, mystery, a bit of romance, the supernatural, just a good mix of everything. I can't wait for the next season!

This, Mushi-shi, and Heroic Age are my favorite anime series. Ghost Hunt is awesome...I love how they have worked the team of several religious/discipline representatives in such an interesting way... If done right, this would make a great live-action drama series. So much of anime is based on Japanese demon tales that are so involved its kind of hard to get into without REALLY investing a lot of time (which can be fun), but I like how ghost hunt paces it so you can follow without getting too tripped up on the backstories/mythology. I will be very sad when I have exhausted this series..it's my bedtime ritual :(

I've watched all types of anime and I'm a solid fan, but this show takes animated story to a new level of creepy. Time well spent! Thanks, Hulu!
