I am an undergraduate student in International Studies at the University of Michigan and a loyal user of Hulu. This article came to my attention shortly after watching the "Public A-WEAR-ness" episode, in which the contestants were challenged to promote a charity. I was horrified to read of Barbie's utter lack of humanity and cruel actions towards workers in Thailand through the following article: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1374/is_n1_v57/ai_19016001/ I encourage anyone with a conscience to boycott the show and write to Mattel. I have no words to explain the anger I feel with the treatment of these women, while the company spends millions on a show like Genuine Ken. Using a public service theme as the platform for an episode, Barbie is misrepresenting their values, which clearly are stated best as PROFIT.
