During a career spanning three decades and 150 million albums sold, 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Genesis created one of the most groundbreaking, distinctive, and influential bodies of work in the history of modern music. As the pioneering early ‘70s line-up of Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Mike Rutherford, and Steve Hackett evolved into the record-breaking trio of Banks/Collins/Rutherford, the group enjoyed a rare combination of steady growth in popularity and continuing musical innovation. On stage, Genesis was a brilliant, charismatic rock band – delivering mesmerizing live performances that were visually as well as sonically revolutionary. In 2007, 15 years after their last performance together, the trio reunited for a triumphant world tour that dramatically proved the enduring power of Genesis music. The shows featured songs spanning the diverse eras of the group’s career, from such early gems as “I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe),” “In The Cage,” and “Carpet Crawlers” to such late-‘70s classics as “Ripples,” “Afterglow,” and “Follow You Follow Me” to such major hits as “Invisible Touch,” “Land Of Confusion,” and “I Can’t Dance.”
