Hulu - Gaytown

I gave this 4 stars only on the merit of making a statement. Yes the writing, acting and camera work are very crude. But he dose have humor about him and gets his point across. I think its brilliant to turn the tables around.(i just wish it was made better) But bravo for trying! We all need to be open minded and accept everyone!!!! Gay, Straight, Hindu, Christian, Buddist, Whatever just love.

I am a gay man and I though that I would like this show but as the watched this min episodes that just suck I would not wast my time with this show anytime of the gay, and as a gay man I like to think we can be more creative then this.

Less than 1/10000 of a star this is a total waste of time talent and money...

The premise of the show is extremely weak, I agree in making humorous situations out of despicable social expectations, and turning ignorance around to laugh its absurdity, but it only devalues a cause to tag it something this bad. The writing is terrible, the jokes are nothing but over-the-top situational gags, and the acting can't hold up, let alone the lack of creativity in the name. The part where I have the biggest problem, however, is the fact that the protagonist is in no way bound to stay in Gaytown, so why the hell doesn't he just move?

This is obviously someone with little funds and a budding ability at film. I found it completely entertaining, stating the obvious fact of how ridiculous it is to mandate a sexual 'norm' on people. By switching the stereo-type it makes us laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. However I will note the absence of one episode is season two (the boy band one) I was able to find on youTube, would love Hulu to include the full thing. Also loved seeing comics whose stand-up I like, nice group.

This series amuses me. It's very in the style of 30 Rock or The Office. It takes an ordinary scenario and twists it. I like farce and I like satire. This show deftly handles the task of spotlighting absurd stereotypes, cliche's and ridicule's the differences we focus on to separate us from each other.

Homophobia sucks and Gaytown turns the tables on heterosexual bigotry. Not to totally sympathize with the gays; gay stereotypes are poked fun at, too. A couple's matching outfit & teacup dog accessories, fashion terrorists and trendy elitists. Nobody gets a free pass. I'm hooked and I want more!
