What *REALLY* perplexes me is that the flashforwards seem to be a mix of people knowing the flashforwards happened (IE the flashforward bulletin board, which clearly indicates things like the time of the blackout on one calendar, and the time of the flashforward visions, on another calendar, as well as trivial little things like the bracelet and the cupcake womans connections to the doll facotry in Utah), and NOT knowing (Because everyone seems to be going about their daily business despite just about *everyone* on earth knowing that that exact moment was goign to be sent to the past selves in a vision! No special countdown parties, or news events, or notes-to-themselves).
So i think this means one of two things:
a) Some force erases everyones memory of the blackout, and systematically disposes of anything blackout related (Newspapers, the mosaic website, etc), but *somehow* misses the flashforward bulletin board at the FBI. Our main character then spends several episodes tryign to figure out what this board is and why hes thinks its so important. This explaination seems highly improbable.
b) the flashforward exists in another timeline, or a completely different reality (Which is why the Sponser guy sees a woman who has been dead... because in that reality she never died!). But, out of some weird coincidence, several things coincide between realities, such as the bracelet and the flashforward board. This explaination seems highly suspicious, as it begs the question "Why does an alternate universe even matter in this context?"
I think its safe to rule out the idea that the flashforward is of everyones actual future, due entirely to the fact that no one seems to know the flashforward is coming, in the future (And several other clues, like being surprised by the pidgeon, being surprised that the baby is a girl, etc). So something is definatly fishy, but i haven't put my finger on what it is, just yet.
