Fantastic Four TV

To those still interested in viewing the show: The Premise is basically sometime in the near future after the first movie, yes, the live action movie. This animation appears to be an offshoot of the movie, perhaps an attempt at a tie-in cash cow that promotes action figure and comic book sales. Although that is unknown, Dr Doom is basically who he is, and all the other characters are similar to their initial creation in the movie, save a few minor art changes to the character models. HOWEVER, one character changes a lot. Our flamer of a super hero is radically different from just about every other incarnation of him thus far (that I remember), and is super cocky. Normally that would be ok, but The Human Torch usually comes off as a good-intentions trickster who more or less can be counted on. This iteration basically is a cocky SOB. Oh and I forgot to mention that pretty much all of the powers are trumped up and expanded on, thus destroying the iconic abilities of some of the oldest super heroes (of this gen) and replacing/updating them to the "near-godlike" indestructible Superman level. What a shame.
