A wonderful parody of superheros from Joss Whedon and family.(Joss gave us of Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Dollhouse.) I was immediately reminded of the musical episode of Buffy, At 42:25 in length, the current length of one-hour TV shows, one can't help but wonder if this was intended as a series pilot. One can only hope and pray for a few more episodes likes this,
Acting, writing, composing, choreography, framing are all wonderful and interesting. When it starts it looks like a zero-budget student fil except the camera isn't jittery. However, if you let yourself get into it (as I almost did not) you will find your self laughing with amazement at a parody that explores the likely reality of super heroes and villains.
Fun for the whole family.

Doctor Horrible has everything you ever wanted in a musical. Comedy, drama, some dancing, some violence, and of course Neil Patrick Harris. Of course being the brainchild of Joss Whedon doesn't hurt either. The acting is amazing. The songs are instantly memorable and so dang catchy, you will have them in your head for days. Well done.

Needless to say I am a great fan of Joss Whedon. At least I am a fan of his work, let us put it that way. The show Firefly is my all time favourite show in the universe (and I was super happy to see Mal, the captain of Serenity here).
Anyways, I did not know what to expect when I found out this was going to be a musical (I am not a big fan of those). I made myself watch this and I will be honest - the humor is just right, the story is fun to watch, I believe the actors did a great job... I would really recommend this if you are looking for some lighthearted, pleasant experience.

I first watched this last year when it came out and have been a hugh fan since. Because of it I learned of The Guild which is another series created by Felicia Day (Penny)
They will have a screening of this at Comic-con this year for the fans that will be going. Hopefully we will hear more on the next part. Weither it be a full length movie or just another internet act.

I was just a normal teenage guy watching random videos on the net and i stumbled across this video with NPH in the thumbnail...... HIMYM is one of my favorite shows so i clicked on it. I started the vid not knowing what to expect. The first couple of minutes i found to be amusing and when i first heard the singing i was sorta turned off.
Long story short, i just finished the best 45 min of my day. I found the story to be amazing and it completely changed my opinion about musicals. This is coming from a guy whose hated the idea of movies with singing and never really payed attention to all the little things that make movies great.
Anyways, that is how i felt........... telling from the comments others are making i'm not the only one astonished by the actual quality of this "sing along blog"

I had no idea of what to expect or any knowledge of what this was when I started it. I commented shortly into it that it reminded me of some episodes of "Buffy" even before I knew it was a Joss Whedon production. I truly enjoyed this and thought it was extremely well done. The "over-acting" was just perfect. The music was great. Thanks for a very enjoyable 45 minutes!
