On May 18, 2010 we deployed a new fix for a problem many people reported having where the "Press esc to exit full screen mode" message would stay on screen permanently. If you have seen this problem on our site since then, please let us know by submitting a report through the form at http://www.hulu.com/support/support_form/You might also try the following workaround, which has helped some users who were running into to "Press esc" message repeatedly.Step 1: Go to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html There you should be presented with the "Global Storage Settings" panel.Step 2: Drag the slider to about 100 KB if it's not there already.Step 3: Make sure the box labeled "Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer" IS checked. Thanks again for everybody's patience during the new player's launch.Ben Hulu
Um, I never had this problem BEFORE today. Workaround is worthless, since my settings are already as you described. Can't watch movies with words plastered right in the middle of the screen.Maybe you should work out 95% of the bugs BEFORE you force all of your members to be beta testers? You're really pissing a lot of people off, and they're looking at other options INSTEAD of you.
I cannot get a full screen. I followed the instructions in the FAQ. (following) Is there a simpler way to get to full screen. Is it on a menu somewhere? I "unchecked" hardware acceleration. I still couldn't find a place to select full screen. But I now know to right click to get settings to show up. I tried to go back and recheck hardware acceleration to see if that would work and that screen stayed on my screen. To get rid of it though I just refreshed. I am on latest Firefox, latest Mac, latest OS.If you're having trouble watching Hulu videos in fullscreen mode, try the following steps: 1. Go to the Hulu.com homepage. 2. Right-click on the masthead (the series of rolling images on the top of the page) and select the "Settings..." menu option. 3. Click the first tab with the screen and paintbrush icon. You should see a checkbox that reads "Enable hardware acceleration." 4. If it's currently checked, uncheck it. If it's currently unchecked, check it. 5. Click Close. 6. Try to play any video on Hulu and switch to full-screen mode.
