I would not pay, in fact it Hulu starts charging for content I will go somewhere else. I don't mind watching a few short commercials to receive the service provided. I HAVE HEARD that Hulu is planing to charge a weekly fee to access their content. If this happens I will not be one to support it, and will go some where else.
And to those complaining. Rent a movie, Buy the sitcom season on DVD, and quit complaining! With so many choices for entertainment... go somewhere else :)

Better movies and network shows simultaneous (or near) broadcast release would make it easy for me to drop my netflix account for a paid hulu account.

Sure you can say quit complaining, go somehwere else , or you could be more proactive. oIt is not that Hulu is getting greedy, with the whole pay consideration. It's that Comcast is looking to buy into NBC/Universal, which owns part of Hulu. Comcast wants to stop cable content from being free because they have to pay for it, and are afraid if it is basically free then cable TV will lose subscribers. The ads on here are too limited to completely supplement the statutory rates charged to the cable companies. Comcast still has to get federal approval to buy into NBC/Universal. I think letting a communications company own production companies (and in this case, competition) is a bad idea. Getting to close to a monopoly in the distribution chain. If you do to, write your congress reps, ask them to object to the Comcast - NBC/Universal deal.

Hulu got the fame that it has because it was free. There are many features that are just pulled off of other sights, for instance most of the network shows during prime time that are on here just come from their prospective sites. There are already pay movie sights this would just fall into the folds like all the rest. Even netflix has instant movies. Bottom line hulu goes pay another sight will open up and be free and people will go there and hulu will vanish.
