ABC's Defying Gravity follows eight astronauts who were handpicked for an incredible six-year journey exploring Venus and other planets in the solar system. Adventures await the crew as they quickly discover their lives and destinies to be intertwined and carefully directed, not only by Mission Control officials on Earth, but also by an unseen force which is much closer and far more powerful.
I'm shocked, bewildered, confused! Isn't it coming back? What, we don't have enough goddamn cop, lawyer, and hospital shows? This is ABC's Battlestar Galactica, and they're f-ing it up.
I agree, I just discovered it as well and had no idea this was out there. When first watched it I thought it must be British or something because it was just unbelievable that an intelligent science fiction show with good acting, effects and dialogue could have made it past whatever usual decision makers put the usual crap on TV. Oh well.

I don't see how religion is being pushed down anyone's throat. I feel like Carl Sagan would be pretty freaking proud of this show. I'm a self declared atheist, and I have no problem with my beliefs, or critiquing ignorant things that other people say. Fact is, this is a great show that got cancelled, and elements that seem spiritual, are that way because we, as humans, are largely ignorant of what we do, and why we do things. We're ants in a jar. Don't bash this show because it is ostensibly spiritual. Sorry if I replied to the wrong person, because many people have said very sensible things connected to the reply I intended to respond to.

Here is a link to a really great article that shares a lot about where the show was going. It contains some really interesting things. Its such a shame that ABC cancelled the show and never gave it a true chance!http://www.cliqueclack.com/tv/2009/10/29/how-defying-gravity-would-have-progressed-straight-from-the-creator/
Are you an idiot? How does every religion EVER require human sacrifice? Unless you're using sacrifice in a way like 'I sacrificed my whole day to babysit', you're way off the mark. Buddhism requires absolutely no life sacrifice. Neither does modern Christianity, Hinduism, Modernism or even established Satanism. In fact, not a single (legal) religion condones or promotes sacrifice in contemporary life.I think you need to think before you speak, dummy . ; ]

Hear you loud and clear, partner. Actually every religion past, present and future requires human sacrifice. Perhaps, it is because we have the need to meddle with everything else natural order.. At any rate, it would have been nice to see the authors story line grow up, instead of aborting before it even begin to breathe.
