Three days is not enough to fix problems as deeply rooted as the ones presented in the show. Also, some marriages should not be saved, such as the one with the abused woman. They should have included a segment where the guy goes to jail, end of episode. The segments with the divorce attorney serve more as a scare tactic than an actual assesment. The turnaround of a woman going from not wanting to be touched by her husband of 26 years one day to snuggling the next day is unexplainable except to say the show offers a "band aid" long enough to provide an unpredictable ending. Meanwhile, we are presented the deepest, darkest horrors of these people's marriage for our amusement.
The pinnacle of my viewing amusement was an episode where they revealed an unemployed man's positive drug test result while telling him he needs to get a job help to fix his marriage... perhaps someone should tell these these maritla gurus that anouncing on national TV that the man tested positive for drugs might hinder his ability to get a job.
I dunno, I started watching to see how bad this show could be and let me tell you it did not dissapoint. If you are looking to get some marital tips, look elsewhere, most of the problems could be solved by basic common sence. If you loved Springer and are looking for another exploitative show parading the bottom of society's barrel like I was, you'll love it.
