1. They're not boring!
2. They're hard to follow!
3. They're misfiled! (Food and Leisure? wtf?)
4. Hip Hop Cardio is my personal favorite, but Latin Groove is pretty low-impact if that's what you're into!
5. Try them!
In more detail:1. They're pretty much what I've been looking for. It's surprisingly difficult (for me) to find free full-length online workouts that (A) aren't boring and (B) actually get my heart rate up.2. These videos are very difficult to follow. I took dance classes for 10 years. With the sole exception of Hip Hop Cardio, all of these routines were voice-overs. And the voice-overs casually tell you what step to do... about two beats *after* the dancers have already unexpectedly launched into a new step.As my teacher used to tell us, "Dance is a total body experience," and these ladies embody that well. But for those of us who don't have oodles of coordination to spare, learning a new step is a slow process of "Okay... feet... do that... and I guess arms do something like this?... and my hips and shoulders are supposed to be doing something...?" Unfortunately, the instructors in these videos generally don't break apart the complicated moves into manageable bits. It's more like, "Aaaaand here's a new move! Do it! It's sexy! Don't you feel sexy?"(Yes yes, tripping over my own feet is very sexy, no?)
3. Why the heck are they filed under "Food and Leisure?" Hulu, what were you thinking?4. Individually, Latin Groove is the only one that's really low-impact; I find Brazilian Body and Latin Groove to be unfun, but that's a personal lack-of-coordination issue; I like Hip Hop Cardio because (A) the instruction isn't a voice-over, and (B) because I can actually follow jazz dance moves; Bollywood Workout is kind of fun, and I'd do it again, but my downstairs neighbors will hate me when I do.5. Overall, they're a fun addition to your workout routines, and they don't suck. Try 'em!
