I"m addicted! No US cop show will compare after this.
The only thing that dates it for me is the size of the cell phones.
The writing and acting is amazing.
And someone says there are 7 seasons??? Please please make them available!!!

Lived right next to the British Columbia border in the states, caught this show infrequently on the Canadian channel. Better acting and story line than any American "cop drama." Hope Hulu puts out more seasons.

This ran for 7 seasons. Plus 2 seasons with DaVinci as Vancouver's mayor --not as god, but that's just my opinion. DaVinci is based on a real guy who was an RCMP officer, then a Vanouver coroner and finally mayor.
Pretty cool that CBC can do such a great job with lots less money than US networks.
So, come on, hulu, how about showing the other 5 seasons?

Having grown up in Seattle (we used to skip high school & drive to Vancouver for Players cigarettes, then back again before dark) I especially enjoy this series. The language nuances, the backwards clothing 'style' , the San Francisco-esque hills & streets - and the Fargo-esque dialogue such as "Now that's a question right there". Love it! The writing is the best I've seen/heard in a very long time. I watch these episodes over & over; they replace the disappointing revamp of Law & Order on my favorites list. Plots you can sink your mind into and characters you become fond of ... Yup - that's a winner right there.

Although Quincy ME was enjoyable for it's time, there is no comparison. It was formulaic, whimsical and all wrapped up at the end of each show. Da Vinci's Inquest is so much more than that. This is the best show of its kind that I have seen, and I've seen a lot. Stone Undercover is enjoyable too but this one is so much more layered. Also good, but not quite as good, is Regenesis. Anyone aware of any other Canadian shows on hulu? I'd like to check them out.
