Conviction

I liked it. The acting was fine and the plots were cool. The characters are attractive which didn't hurt. Certain characters evolving and growing which is what makes people cling to certain shows. As one reviewer mentioned, there may have been a little too much sexual propaganda. It seemed everyone either had slept with another co-worker; was sleeping with a co-worker; or was going to. It wasn't an extraordinary show. But, it was different in the fact that it gave a glimpse into the world of D.A.'s. I wouldn't have minded seeing more than a few seasons of this show. Someone complains about the acting for the character Steele. However, when I think of the role D.A.'s play (in truth), that is what I think of: Someone who is fairly black & White; fairly straight-edged; not overly emotional; and aggressive at times. I thought he was well playted. This show clearly points out the reality of how sometimes a so-called Win is a Loss. These kind of cases get messy and D.A.'s are faced with serious decision making when determining whether to exercise judicial discretion. It is worth watching.

This series was good, but I can see why it was not given another season. The acting was poor, Steele in particular. Everyone is either having sex with each other, going to or already has. They make it seem as if every DA is 20 something and single. The directors are really pushing it with the music throughout the episodes (at least three per).
The only thing I really enjoyed was the fresh look at what new DA's and beginning attorneys face when they start out. But even that is unrealistic, to become a DA you usually have some experience trying cases albeit minor ones, these guys are doing murder cases already!
If you really want a great cast of characters with superb plots and acting watch "The Practice" even the extras were fantastic and believable . Hulu it!
