Chrono Crusade has all the workings of being a great story. It has comedy, it has love, betrayal, and a good conflict. In the beginning we meet Chrono and Rosette, a pair of exorcists for the Magdalin Order. Chrono is a very powerful demon ("devil" as the say in the show just doesn't fit right) famous for his destructive abilities. Chrono, dispite his past, is often seen as a boy with pointed ears who is quiet, gentil, and loyal to Rosette, acting almost the full oposite of the demon he once was. Rosette is a bossy but very pure Sister and is searching for her little brother Joshua who was taken by the antagonist, Ion. The two protaginists play off each other well and the show is entertaining. But as the story progressed into the final stages, I found myself getting more frustrated with the characters than anything else. There were several moments in the show where you wished Chrono had the same kind of awesome demonstrations of power like those you find in other shows. He has all the potential to fill these shoes and more along with his full demonic form looking the way it does, you expect him to have a larger hero role. The conclusion was lacking and I found myself longing for more of a basis for the climax to stand on. In the end, I enjoyed the comedy in the beginning, skipped the filler-like middle, and disliked how anticlimactic the conclusion was. I'll stick with the beginning and forget the rest.
