There are no great production values in this show, and no natural TV personalities, but the chefs are pros who seem sincerely interested in showing people how to cook simple, fresh food. The emphasis is on meals that are easy to prepare with ingredients that are easy to find, with a rotating group of chefs. There are back-up step-by-step instructions on cheflive.com. The puppet...well...in the first episode I saw with him he was irritating and annoying. In another episode, he was actually kind of funny, and the recipe was simple enough so that he didn't take away from the purpose. Anyway, he's only in a few. For more refined cuisine, look elsewhere, but I think this group of chefs does an admirable job of achieving what they set out to do.
