Previous "reviewers" are trashing this show based on... what? The 70's was disco, partying, and Charlies' Angels. Back then, the Angels phenomena was spectacular to witness. I was just starting high school at the time, and it's easy to see why the show ran as long as it did, if you consider the era.
The girls wanted to look like them, the guys all had their favorites (Farrah here!). We were tired of Watergate, Vietnam, paying more than $1 for a gallon of gas, and a total lack of Internet and cable TV (OMG!). If we wanted action, we could watch "Starsky & Hutch" or go see a "Planet of the Apes" movie. We wanted fun, a little journey form the problems... so we found action with babes, so we watched the Angels. Today's action shows OF COURSE make this look bad, but back then, this was pretty good. I'm not sure what criteria some of these neg reviews are considering, but I'm sure that it's not the fact that this show debuted almost 32 years ago, and it was one of the top shows on TV for a long time. I'm sure that it's not how videotape was just moving in, and how hard it was to figure out and stage action sequences without computers (not just for SpecFX). They were doing something right! I hope I'm here in 32 years to compare "24" or "Sarah Connor Chronicles"...
