Chaos;HEAd

This is a review I did that was rejected as invalid.It's a conceit that all the central characters in this anime, save our "hero" and the bad guys, are young, pretty women, yet Chaoshead does not abuse the setup and deals with the characters as individuals not particularly identifiable by sex. The best animes I have seen are about identity and purpose, and Chaoshead is no exception, with a bonus focus on reality and the nature of perception.The main character made me very uncomfortable for his weakness and whining, yet was pushed along sufficiently to come through when needed. A confident character would not been as effective. Each of the characters has to come through a bit of their past to function in the present.The story never dragged for me. I liked Chaoshead a lot. It even did better than many animes with a plot directed at romance in establishing a loving relationship or two and bringing it home in the end - maybe because they weren't setting up for the sequel. I didn't notice anything special about the graphics, but it was a solid and well-presented story.
