Century City

The premise of the show is interesting; the ethical equivalent of sci-fi, and they came up with some great scenarios. Unfortunately, they chose to frame it as a show about a futuristic law office, which means that to resolve an episode the writers with their sock puppet judge and jury have to provide the final word on whatever topic they present. Even when they do make a good faith effort at presenting the other side of the protagonists' issue, at the end of the show the verdict will always agree with their way of thought.

I guess this show is some one's idea of how they hope the legal system will be in the future, it's certainly nothing like what we have today. The laws and legal definitions are a progressivists dream come true. It's like taking the most liberal laws on the books and advancing them 30 years without any moderating force to slow them down. The writer's will usually 'toss a bone' to sound reason (according to the laws we have today), but then they always go on to trump them in a way that to me is unconvincing. I don't mind seeing propaganda in new shows--hell, it's what I expect, but I think the reason that this show was dropped so quickly is because their agenda is too obvious and therefore doesn't manage to 'trick' you into anything.I'm not saying it's a total waste, a lot of the situations are intriguing, and it does have 'stretchy guy' from the Fantastic Four who does play a sympathetic character. Considering the dearth of shows on Hulu this summer, I'm sure I'll watch at least few more episodes.

This show is a delight to watch. It has very beautiful aesthetics and sets. However, the characters are so bland at times it makes me wanna vomit. The show has so much potential. I really hope the bugs are worked out and this show continues, somehow. There was a lot of thought put into the storylines and set designs. Every episode follows the same formula... like i said, it has so much potential, but it's missing something and i can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, the ethical questions it raises allows for consistent entertainment.

The show is set in 2030, not 2056.

This show had quite the science fiction concept and I can see why it didn't catch on but it was incredibly well done. Each episode raised an interesting question revolving around futuristic technology. For example, a chip that fixed a man's mental retardation was malfunctioning and would eventually kill him but he is adamant that he would rather die than go back to how he was.Nothing to write home about and the flip side of the ethical coin is each episode's secondary case which was more about humor. An aging rock star who won't genetically alter himself to appear younger like his band-mates. Watch it. Only the first 4 of these episode ever aired on CBS
