Not everyone is going to like any given show. What I don't get is the comparison with "Green Wing". I read that this show was a rip-off, so I watched it. I couldn't even get through it. "Green Wing" was just a bunch of poorly executed slapstick with wonky camera effects, accompanied by irritating music. It was Scrubs on crack (and don't even think "no comparison" because there is EVERY comparison, minus didactic monologues). "Campus" manages to be completely silly and still have heart-felt moments. Not to mention, characters like Jason and Imogen are absolutely adorable. Whereas I didn't find anyone in "Green Wing" the least bit sympathetic. It's not really funny "ha-ha" as much as "life is funny that way". It's not the best comedy BUT IT'S FREAKIN' BETTER THAN "GREEN WING"!!

watching Campus reminded me of Green Wing, except Green Wing is very funny. This show is not although it tries hard to be. I discovered Campus is made by the same people who did Green Wing, which only proves you can't just repeat success. I gave up after one episode and you will be wise not to bother watching at all. Want a funny show from across the pond, watch Green Wing, Peep show, The IT crowd, there are many more. Just don't watch Campus.

I really enjoyed this first season, mainly for the reason I loved Green Wing and other British comedies like it. It was clever and weird, crass and ludicrous, and all-around entertaining, But by that same token, it's not doing anything I haven't seen before. My only complaint by way of acting choice was the Canadian girl character who is hard to watch to say the least. It looked like this was her first role, and her apparent amateurism spoiled the performance of others, making scenes awkward especially the sex scenes with the professor Matt Beer.
