Buck Rogers

I liked this show. I grew up with this show. I even owned the toys. As I got older, the show made me laugh more then anything. The reasons are numerous. They very rarely shot new external scenes. Every “Ship” launching, fighting, or simply flying is the same shot again and again, no matter which episode you watch. One minute you see “A’ ship, next it is “B” ship. It becomes way too funny after a while. As an example, they are suppose to be sitting next to each other in a dual person cockpit, however the “exterior” shot is of either a different type of ship or a single person craft. You could almost make a drinking game out of it.Also, the use of props from other sci-fi shows is too cute. You can see the same items large and small on both Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers, and sometimes you can even see the same items in a few shows that are being aired today. Talking about trying to save a Buck… (Pun intended)Overall, it is a cute family show that really is just that. However, I am sure there is a spin doctor of sorts pitching a remake to some executive as I write this post. I am also guessing Darker, Grittier, DRAMA are the keywords being used in the pitch. I am sure it will be aired on NBC’s Sci-Fi network then be canceled a few weeks later to make room for more repeats of drivel. :o)

this show was a remake of the serials of the 30' and 40's along with its cornball dialog and rudimentary plots . first buck rogers a man whose 20th century ideal and thinking provides terrans of the 2490's a fresh prospective in dealing the draconians and various alien threats.second erin grey as wilma deering was sexier than all of chalie's angels.third the FX were great at the time.this show was good at the time..

Great site to expose younger siblings to and to show them how sometimes todays shows are just watered down and recycled versions of classic groundbreaking ideas of the older "wiser" generation. Fun to see retro hot chicks too!
