Jamie Lee Curtis convincingly captures the vulnerability and gritty determination of a female police officer trying to prove herself on male turf in this gripping thriller.

I watched this movie and was wondering how Jamie Lee could have gotten so stupid. The very first thing anybody would have done is to secure that 44 revolver at the scene and to make sure none of the witnesses left before they were interviewed but that would have ruined the whole premise of the movie.
It is watchable but I warn you, be prepared to suspend a whole lot of disbelief.
To hankg. I think John Wayne was in one of the first street scenes and I'm pretty sure he was driving a cab.
Predictable, stupid, cliche'. Worst film I have seen in a long time. Pick another film you will enjoy Clay Pigeons much more than this piece of garbage.
Love Jamie Lee Curtis, a big fan. The movie as I rated it, was just ok for me. The plot was a little lame, but then again, it did have some excitement as far as action and some suspense which I always enjoy in any movie. If one enjoys action and 'some' suspense, you will enjoy. I did enjoy watching, maybe because it did have Jamie Lee?
Curtis does an admirable job playing a new, but unsure cop. However, the script is seems horribly outdated. Any Law & Order episode would carry greater suspense--and much better writing--than this movie. Choose a different title.
I'll try not to post too much of a spoil but you can figure most this movie out from the first few minutes anyway. Stupid, stupid plot. So Jamie Lee shoots a guy at a robbery, somebody at the crime scene takes the gun from the now dead bad man and nobody knows what happened to it. PLEASE, how stupid is that. I mean, MAYBE that could happen in some situations but not the one they staged and it goes downhill from there. Just totally ridiculous situations throughout. How stupid are these writers? I think they didn't even realize that shell casings from a revolver would not just be lying around either. They implied that these were found at the crime scene after being fired?!? He would have had to open his gun and take them out yet he clearly just walks away from one such scene without doing such a thing. And then when the shell casings are found with her name on it and they ask if there is anybody in her life that might be doing this she just can’t think of anyone. DUH, the new guy you JUST met comes to mind!!! And at this point surely someone would have put 2 and 2 together and realized where this gun came from, etc. but NOOOO! Still just a big mystery to them all. Gee whiz, you lost a 44 at a crime scene and now some loony is shooting up the town with a 44 and writing your name on the casings and a new boyfriend just walked into your life. My, no connections there, right? Just an utterly stupid piece of trash written by a hack writer.
You can look all you want, John Wayne is NOT in this movie and it has NOTHING to do with a town and gold bandits!
It is a very good movie with Jamie Lee Curtis and her three feet of gorgeous legs playing a rookie cop who gets involved with a homicidal maniac. Good movie.
