Actually, the point of the show was that there were two societies: The core planets, AKA your "Future Society", and the 'Rim, the Western Frontier society that your "cowboys" actually walked around in."next zombies in space..."~

really, you named about 4 shows and alluded to about 30.And now for a few points of my own:1. Same company that manufactured the special effects for BSG got their start making Firefly, and even slipped the ship in at around 15 min. into the miniseries.2. Firefly was a great show, nearly 100% original, had social commentary, and broke the molds of then-current sci-fi norms, which is kind of the definition of "Science Fiction"3. I also noticed that , with the exception of Heros, you only picked on cult shows that are away from the popular eye.4. Browncoats throw their weight around until we got a sequel, which says a lot considering that canceled TV series never get Movie follow-ups. Will you ever be able to watch it? Sure, when it was on, you know, months ago. A bit late to the party, so to speak. Best bet, find a nearby dvd rental place with $1 day rentals and pick up a couple dvd's.   See 5 other replies

Most of us don't feel like spending money on DVDs or rentals. Heck, I will wait till they upload the whole series here. Maybe in a few months or years. Or I might just barrow the DVDs from a friend. I will watch as many commercials as it takes to watch it for free.   See 5 other replies
