Baldr Force EXE

Watched the entire series in about 3 hours ( had to stop and work on some stuff for a while).The imagery was very well done. The story could easily be expanded, but then it runs the risk of becoming something that would drag on, or be destroyed by bad writing. The show did get confusing at times, and there where a few unfinished plot points that would have helped to expand the show into a fuller 7-8 episodes. The antagonism between Ayane and Tohru, feels tacked on after the initial fight, and has no closure. by the end of the series I felt when watching the last few moments during the mental battle between Tohru and Leviathon, that there was a lot of reference if not outright mimicry of Neon Genesis, not a bad thing but noticeable, how the scenes played out felt right in how they were done, presented in such a way as to help see what kind of "monster" Tohru was fighting against.Overall good show, definitely worth another watch, to catch anything missed.

i liked this anime to a point, good over all storyline and good visuals but it seems they tried to smash all the epic together.it would probable do better if they spaced it out some put in a few more epic in there still a blast to watch oh

Decent anime with good production, I give it 4 stars for being a fun and somehwat deep but derivative work.It breaks no new ground thematically for anime but rather has a lot of themes that are repeated in many animes over the last 20+ years just presented slightly different. Individualism vs collective, rebel vs government/officials, subconscious vs conscious. In many ways it's similar to Neon Genesis Evangelion in the themes, even down to Christian symbolism although not as blatent there as Evangelion.The overarching theme was that of ancestor worship (Shinto) versus a more Christian worldview. I'm sure this is touched upon in other animes but here it's front and center. It's interesting and culturally significant in Japan which has had an ongoing struggle between these viewpoints since Japan was 'discovered' by Westerners.Watch all four episodes straight, it's like a movie.
